I have one 12" sub that is 1500 watts 750 RMS. I bought a 2 channel Song Xplod 1200 Watt amp and bridged it to one. My amp gets so hot you can not leave ur hand on there for 5 seconds or it burns. Also my Sub shuts off at a certain volume number?

Any ideas?

Its Dual voice coil called Quantum Audio Cozmik Series 1500 watts 750 RMS. Amp is Sony explod 1200 watts 2 channel but bridged it to one channel

The sub could be wired wrong, the bass boost is probably up, and the gain is cranked.

Your smoking the shit out of the amp and your going to burn it up.

Set gain with dmm, turn off bass boost. Check sub wiring.

I doubt that Xplod amp is stable at 1ohm bridged, probably 4ohm. Check the specs on the amp, you probably have to wire it to 4.
