Is this repairable?

You wont know till you email PSI. Also RTV works out great, I had a Treo 10 that had a rip similar to that, and rtv is the same grey color. but we put double power to the sub after fixing a huge rip like that and it burned the coils eventualy, but surround held strong, wasnt sexy but it worked and it beat a recone.

If you wanna go cheap I used to fix **** like that with Goop from home depot.. stronger than any Speaker glue you'll ever use.. makes the cone more rigid and flex like mad..

be a pain in the *** but it would work.. LOL

Dave isn't reconing W7s anymore.
I don't doubt it... I heard its a biscuit to recone... Sigh.. I thought I had gotten such an amazing deal on these... Well I got both for $225 on is in mint condition and it came with a sealed box...

Remember to glue both side of the surround. It won't sound as good as before but at least it'll get you by.

Repairing them with OEM parts means it'll rip again in the future. I don't think anyone makes W7 recones as of right now besides JL themselves.I say pawn it on eBay and buy something else. Seems like the surround is the weak spot of these W7s.
