Is this really 4awg?

Double post I know, but I cut open the end of the wire and I think that it might actually be 4 gauge, just packed really tight in the insulation... Check the pics...

Gauge is determined by area, not diameter. You need to take the area of each strand and multiply by the number of strands. That is no 4 gauge cable

 
Well even if you say it was 4awg. It just looked too small for me to be running 1000+ RMS off of, even for my noob *** self.

It's already gone. I'll be ordering a kouple KnuKonKits in a kouple weeks.

Now I need a 4 channel and a Mono now.

Maybe they forgot to put a 1 in front of the 4?
