Is this Possible

Hi i was wondering if its possible to run a amp using the house outlet, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif This kid keeps telling me you can and i dont want to risk melting my amp.

DO NOT plug your car audio amplifier into your house's outlet. It WILL fry.

You can power a car audio amplifier with your house's wall outlets, but you would need to get an AC-DC convertor with enough amperage output to support the amplifier, and then plug the amplifier into the convertor. But no, you can not connect the amplifier directly into the outlet.

Better option is to just buy a damned home audio amplifer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Something like this:

It should give a maximum current rating...

I doubt you have one to properly power it to useful levels...just buy a dedicated 120VAC amplifier instead of trying to half-*** it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
