Is this possible or am I doing something wrong?

Im trying to hook up my rear speakers

I have my front stage running off of a Audioque 90x4 amp. tweeter on 1/2 and woofer on 3/4.

I also have a DSC4125 where im using ch3/4 bridged for the subwoofer. That leaves ch 1/2 empty. On the DSC4125 amp, it says it can be operated in a 4ch or a 2ch mode. meaning that if in 2ch mode, i only need one set of rca for front and rear instead of 2 sets of rca in the 4ch mode.

I hooked up the RCA for the sub and switched the amp to 2ch mode but i was only getting bass from the REAR speakers. I wasnt getting any highs. My understanding is that because the RCA is coming from the SUB OUTPUT on the radio it is only sending a low signal for sub only.

Am I correct in my assessment? Is there any way to hook up the rear speaker?

depends if the head unit has a built-in low pass crossover on the sub output. you could run that amp off the REAR outputs instead, until you run another set of RCA's back there (which you should do so you retain your fader and sub level control)

it's also possible you have the CH1&2 crossover set to LPF

I have 3 sets of RCA going back there.

the tweeter takes up the FRONT, woofer REAR and sub for SUB.

My HU is a pioneer AVH4200DVD.

I will look into that tomorrow. I was stuck on how to get it to work so i dont think i thought of all the possibilities .

If its a "sub output" id imagine its only putting out sub freq's. Thats what mine does anyways bro.
