is this overkill?

ok guys, I'm putting together a system in my tahoe a system in my tahoe. it consists of 2 10" rf hx2 woofers, rockford 500.2, and a rockford 25 to life punch 150 (there's more, but these are the major power users). for electrical I just ordered a triple alternator bracket, ill be running the factory alt and 2 250 amp alts, dual batteries under the hood, and 2 smaller agms in the back. dual runs of 2/0 ga front to rear. should this be enough, or do I need more?

For the power you will be pushing then 3 stock alternators would be better for the price.

You dont always have to upgrade to high output alts if you have the alternator bracket space.

Oem or auto parts oem alternators run way more efficient and lessen motor force to keep the motor power in place.

really? forgive my ignorance, but how does one alt create more drag than another?

A higher output alt. takes more power to spin. And under full load takes a noticeable amount more than a OEM alt. You could easily run a stock alt and one 250 amp aftermarket for the system you are going to run. A single AGM starting batt, and a single AGM back by the amps. Unless you plan to use the system alot while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Then maybe a couple more rear AGM's.

Ive already got the batts and the bracket so ill use em. Should i get an isolater?

That's wayyyyyy overkill. Could get a better substage and lower your electrical budget.

Don't even bother with an isolator, just run the two extra alternators isolated from the factory electrical with your battery bank.
