hi

i have a fused 0/1 gu. INPUT into (2) 4 gu. OUTPUT, digital Knukonceptz distro block.

im not sure if they still sell it now. its blue and has a voltage readout on top

anyway, i dont need it for my sub amps since i can run my 2 runs of 0/1 gu. directly to the amps. but i was wanting to keep the block and use it for my 4ch. amp which accepts 4gu. at most.

my questions are:

1. can i simply run the 4gu. into the 0/1 input, fuse it, and then to my amp, all with 4gu. only?

i kinda like to be able to see the voltage drops on the block. not sure how accurate it is though

2. whatever voltage is on the block, is that what my "entire" system is seeing?

thx!

Running 4 gauge into the 1/0 input is not dangerous, as long as there is no bare wire showing or anything. Some people strip off extra insulation and fold over wire to fit into a bigger input. And as long as you use the proper fuse size you should be fine. 125 amps max.

And yes, the voltage on the block would be the voltage of your electrical system. Not just what your sound equipment sees, but everything in the car.
