there is an hdf wood...and it is good quality ...but i wouldn't tune the sub to 60hz unless your wanting to do spl if so make the box half the size of recomended as wellim sitting here with a friend telling him about what im setting up, a box at 36hz with one 18 using birch.... he tells me to tune to 60hz and use HDF wood..... idk much about this but it just sounds completely wack to me
oh **** hahaha! i thought he was talking completly out of his ***there is an hdf wood...and it is good quality ...but i wouldn't tune the sub to 60hz unless your wanting to do spl if so make the box half the size of recomended as well
right?! i was lost when he said thatHDF is good, but birch is still superior; it's stiffer and weighs less - though it's relatively expensive.
As far as tuning goes it depends on what you're looking to get out of it. 36Hz is a common tuning and strikes a nice balance between SQ and SPL. 60Hz will probably get loud, but sound like *** doing it. AFAIK people only tune that high to make a burp setup for metering purposes.
Most are. And talking out their azzHe's an idiot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
