I am purchasing a pair of kicker cvt 10" to install in my truck. They are rated at:

800 Watt MAX (1600 Watt PAIR)

400 Watt RMS (800 Watt PAIR)

Impedance: Single 2 Ohm

Frequency Response: 25Hz-350Hz

I have a Kicker amp, model ix402....Will this amp be adequate to power my subs??

Don't worry about max wattage. And that amp will work, you can use it, and it'll move the subs. But they are definitely being starved of power, and you should be in the market for something better for em. I have an elemental designs 9.1 amp that I love. Does 1200W at 1ohm. I'm not trying to sell you mine, but that's something you could look into. Ask anyone around here, they are very solid amps. oh, and that 1200W rating is at 12.5V, so you can bet it'll do even more, though it's a bit overkill, you just won't need to turn the gain up as much, less work for the amp:) And you can get a good deal on em. Often in very good shape for under $200 shipped.

there's one for $100 shipped which is INSANE CHEAP! I'd buy that asap.
