Is this a GOOD price? amp price, please help.

well it's not 1 ohm stable first off (i haven't ran 1 so maybe with bomb electrical it can but i doubt it) but if it fits your requirements and it works go for it that isn't a bad price. i doubt it will get a full 1200w but will be close.

Makes me sick to my stomach too see power terminals like that on a bigger amp.
The tiny screw terminals?

Well, I'm wondering if it would do better than my (cheap) 5000.1d Planet Audio amp

Found this on Craigslist, sounds like a steal if it does what he says...

Infinity Reference Series Subwoofer Amp

Infinity reference series 1210a for $85

I've heard good things about the reference series, any input?
that is a great amp for that price. but if the owner is claiming 1800 wrms @ 1 ohm, he is wrong 2x's. Its not one ohm stable, and with 120 amps of fusing, its not capable of 1800 wrms. Hopefully he wasn't running it at one ohm. But for that price, i'd take a chance on it even if he had.

My question is... is it going to put out more power than my 5000.1d Planet audio?

the power ratings on the planet audio AC series come from imagination land, Lol. I'd day the power would be close enough to make an inaudible difference in loudness. However, the infinity will be leaps and bounds ahead of the planet audio in build quality and efficiency.

Yes That type of terminal has no place on an otherwise decent amp.

$85 is about right for that amp. Nothing spectacular about it and you will get a clean 1k out of it with decent electrical to back it.
I'm gonna go ahead and pick it up and put it in the girlfriends car. She'll be surprised when she gets an upgrade from the 500w she's running now. May have to actually amp her components now.
