is this a good deal for a ho alt and wire upgrade at a shop

I called a local auto electrical shop they were open half day. The guy told me he does not give price over the phone but i said come on about how much for a high out put alt and wire up grade.He checked for me and said 375. Its a 165 amp alt i think and he said he would use 2 ga wire no splice that would be all new. what u guys think? i will have to get the name of the alt even if it is a ebay special it should be at least 200 dollers.

sorry Its a 1999 ford escort se i got i think a stock 75 amp alt it is refurb from a ford dealer i got the car not to long ago. The dealer might of put a 95 amp in but i dont think they did. I wanted to get a biger alt any ways at night when i shift from park to reverse my light will dim and when i go back in to drive it will get bright **** ford's lol

would any one like to add to this please im thinking right now to see if he can go with a lower amp alt i dont now if im gona like go to comps with the car so like 150 amp or so should alow me to put to good 15 with a nice amp or 2 thanks

yeah i am ahhahah . im lookin all over the place what should i get then i dont care so much about the wire upgrade and what not its just i dont think i need 200 amps

all you need for 1-2 15's is a wire upgrade and a battery or 2...thats it...no alt needed. but instead of listening to someone who competes and has the real knowledge(from already fuxin shit up when i was younger and dumber) you go with these guys who only have the money 2 spend and end up getting someone else to do the work for them....

sounds good to me if i can get away with just a wire upgrade then thats good. i still got the wire in my room i guess ill do it thrusday post some pics
