Is this a good amp for a 10" kicker solo-baric?

I have a kicker 10" solo-baric L5 hooked up to a crappy Visonik amplifier and I need a better amplifier so I can get some clean watts to it. I'm trying to go with the whole Kicker setup and I was wondering if this amp is any good and most importantly, will it power my subwoofer good? I'm on a budget, so if there's a better deal out there please help me out! Thanks!

From what I've seen people have said that this amp. is under-rated as far as power goes and will power much bigger subwoofers and make them pound. I'm fairly new to this, so I want to make sure I'm not being fed false info.

You can get that amp on Ebay for under 100 I think, they are nice amps, but they dont put out tons of power. If you plan on going bigger then I would go for a Kicker 1000.1, or 750.1. But I guess it all depends on your budget. Also their is a Kicker 400.1 that would probaly be a better match.

The L5 is rated at 450wrms but can take more, the amp you picked out only pushes 300wrms. I would look for an amp that pushes 500 wrms or so at either 1 ohm or 2 ohms depending on which version of the L5 you have. If you have the Dual 2 verision find an amp that pushes 500 wrms at 1 ohm (Such as the Hifonics TXI 5006, http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4208 or something similar), and if you have Dual 4 version find an amp that pushes 500 wrms at 2 ohms. Such as the Kicker ZX500.1 (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6596)

Thanks, but man those are expensive for me...I'm still in highschool so $ is an issue for me. I was looking around and I found this amp. It has good reviews and is an affordable price.

No offense, but there is no way that amp will ever produce 1,000 watts RMS @ 1 ohm or 500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms.

That Crunch amp is junk, you can find a Kicker 400.1 for that price, it will put out more then that Crunch amp, and Kicker amps are under rated so you are seeing about 400 watts from the Kicker 300.1, and 500 from the 400.1
