I wonder...

since I just got my TV and it got a PC input.. and I have a Macbook Pro which got a DVI port..

So I was thinking if there is a cable that got male DVI on one end and Male VGA on the other end?

If not then ****, I got to find the DVI to VGA adapter that came with the laptop when I bought.. then I will just find a Male/Male VGA cable..

thanks

Wow not only do we have to look it up for you, but we also have to pick out the right color and ... whats next.. order it for you..

open it, ???

wait .. wait... hook it up for you..... ?

I'm sure they have others, that's just the first one I saw there.
I've ordered from Monoprice numerous times, probably the best, fastest service I've ever had online.
Yeah I found it, thanks..

Yeah Monoprice FTW

I ordered plenty of HDMI cables from there.. and I actually went there when I was looking for this cable but I didnt find it somehow i dunno until you chimed in and gave me this link ha..

Thanks man

one more question-

will I see any difference if I used the adapter and got male/male vga cable instead of this DVI to VGA cable?

because VGA male/male cable is cheaper than the DVI to VGA cable.. (yes I am a cheapass)

Edit: And wtf is the difference between VGA and SVGA(super VGA)? They re the same I suppose(they do look the same)?

I honestly don't know, I have no experience in adapting DVI to VGA or vice versa.

If you have an extra HDMI on the TV you could just do DVI->HDMI as well.

And I have no idea on VGA vs. SVGA

Well I did DVI to HDMI before on my other TV and I wasnt too pleased since the computer wont match the TV size for some reason so I had to view it in "full screen" mode which means black bars on both sides.. I even messed around with the picture size and whatever, none of them would match up with the TV..

I always have thought that using the PC input would solve the problem?

and I m assuming SVGA and VGA are the same..

thanks for the answers man.. appreciate it.
