Is there any such amp as a Kicker (kx) 2500.1?

Did Kicker ever make a (kx) 2500.1, or were they always (zx)? Were the 05 models any different that the new ones?

Yes, there was a kx2500.1. Check ebay....

As far as I know, the ZX models havnt changed...

Anybody know what size alt I should get? I'll have the big 3 with 1/0 throughout. Also, is an extra battery a must, or should I just try the bigger alt first? Thanks.

200 amps should be enough. though a second battery will be a major help for the amp. they are hella efficent. i ran mine off 2 red tops and a 90amp alty at 1 ohm (.7ohm dcr) daily for months running it alllll day. rarely got warm. solid amps. i miss mine alot

I need to upgrade the battery under the hood as I'm sure it's still stock and about 6 years old. I've read a lot of different things but which one would be best for my system? It'll be strictly a daily driver. Unless you guys talk me out of it I'm just gonna get the 200 amp alternator and big 3 and see how it goes from there. I can't find a good place in my Expedition to put an extra battery so I'm hoping I don't have to have one. If anyone else has any opinions please let me know. Thanks.

you cant fit a extra battery in a expo? get a battery tie down kit from pep boys, comes with the battery tray and hold downs. 12$ make sure its a sealed battery

I don't see anywhere under the hood to put it. My box takes up the entire back except for about a 6" by 12" spot. If they have any batteries that narrow I suppose I could put one there.

If I replaced my battery with a kinetik hc2400 under the hood would I still need to upgrade the alternator?
