Is there any difference running 2 or 4 ohms?

Well it will draw less current, less strain on your electrical system. Higher ohm=more resistance in current (correct me if I'm wrong).

I would run it in 4 as opposed to 2...

like the above said, less strain on your electrical system

also when you drop ohm loads on amps, it might increase the % of THD that amp puts out, while normally its still 1% or lower so you probably won't notice a difference in sound... its still worth mentioning

If its 1000watts at 2ohm and 4 ohm....wouldnt it draw the same current since its regulated power?

Strain will be the same for an amp with regulated supply. The only possible thing that can be bad for a regulated amp running on high impedances will be stress from it trying to increase voltage of supply high enough to compensate for the resistance P = V*I = V^2/R => dV = sqrt(P* dR). But it's unlikely.

THD really can change even with regulated supply, but it's hard to predict how, as it will depend on particular design. I would personally run it on 4 ohms, it might be easier on outputs.
