I've worked at big box stores and now at a local shop... i've never even been asked about mecp. It's all about experience.

I think if ur certified and u apply to do mobile audio installs somewhere u'd probably have a better chance than the average joe, but thats about it. I mean it isn't really a bad deal since for $85 u get a 2 year certificate anyways. (If ur talkin the basic one)

Its not a huge difference in pay but it should open up options for u

Agree. For the $85. it is worth it. Allot of employers look more for experience, but it will open up for new jobs and will help.

Pros : Easier to get a job. Possibility of a raise at your current job. Possibly you gain a bit of knowledge. You get a certificate to hang on your wall.

Cons : Your wallet is $85 thinner

no i was looking at "mobile dynamics" the 9 phase program. if you pass the test you get advance installer in MECP
