is there a name for this?

its sort of like a tow truck driver, but you dont tow. like you help people, who run out of gas, flat tire, etc. i think MDOT (michigan dept. of transportation) does this. but is there a like job name for it?
ya i see them all over.courtesy service?

courtesy patrol.. CVS sponsors the program, and you need to be HIGHLY qualified to do it if you are considering it. Search for CVS Samaritan or something like that
The drivers, have a multitude of talents and certifications. They are Nationally Certified Auto Mechanics, State Certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) or Paramedics, and Nationally Certified Animal Control Officers to name just a few.

I dont think I would qualify. It would be an interesting thing to do.

yah its not just a job you walk into. I think they start with certain certs, and then are required as time goes by to fulfill more requirements. Who'd a thunk those guys are some talented cookies out there! They DO get the pretty MSP Red light on top of their vans though!
