Is there a formula for carpetting?

I remember seeing some kind of formula for knowing how many yards needed to carpet an enclosure. anyone know wat it is?

get plenty and just lay the shit on there. or you can calculate the surface area of each side of the box, then get a little extra based on those numbers, just make sure that you cut it correctly, because you can short yourself really easily doing that. draw it out to scale first, that way you have a plan for a cut sheet.
