Is the Kicker zx1000.1 1 ohm stable?

Just looking at the specs, and noticed it was rated at 1000@ 2 ohms. Is it 1 ohm stable? And alos, anyone know the approx output it would do at 1 ohm if it is stable.

Looking to pair this with a single 12" Fi Q.

With the amps ohm rise you will be fine running it at 1 ohm, but its not "officially" rated for 1 ohm. Not sure on wattage though

Yea, I know with rise and everything it wont be at 1 ohm.

But just generally speaking....is it stable?

why dont u just run it at 2 ohms since the Q is rated at 1,000 rms anyways?

Thats more than likely what I will do. Just curious for possible future upgrades. Im looking for an amp, and I dont want to spend a lot of money I cant really use if I choose to upgrade in the future.

But Im leaning towards this amp, just wanted to check this out first.

I'll take a guess and go around 1500-1600 watts.

well with my zx's @ 1ohm nominal, its rising up to 4.3 ohms getting 2.1kw out of each amp. not bad considering the rise on it.

how do you guys make the 1000.1 1ohm??I have this amp with a 12" dual2 L7 in series wiring(that's 4ohm right?) if i will parallel wire it, that will be 1ohm, can I hook it on the 1000.1. and what's the amp rise???Do I need capacitor if I will make my amp @ 1ohm????sorry guys, newbie here....but really need help..Thanks.

just dont try .5 on the 1000. 1

i accidentally hooked up the dual 1's wrong cuz im used to wiring 4 ohm coils, and once i turned it up it shut off on me for a second.

from what i've heard you have to have good electrical and after that its just a lottery.

some ZX amps are stable some not.

you ought to be ok, my kicker has been at 1 ohm the whole time i've had it.
