is it worth the money you save to do a recone?

i thinkin of doin a recone into a fi 15 or 18.

will it be better to just buy it new, is it hard to do? i dint know anyone who has ever done it

If it's an expensive re-cone kit, and this is your first time, I would HIGHLY suggest having someone else do it, or at least get someone who knows how to be there and help walk you through it.

I reconed my Mt 15 for the first time and it is very very easy and takes less than 5 min of your time. But research alot on it and ask around. There are alot of threads on how to recone.

i did it but i guess i didnt mix my epoxys well enough and my spider came offf the landing other then that not very hard but i fuxed up

yea i see that ppl use the ca glue but i did some searching and i see you can use other stuff. i dont know it depends on how much cash i can get.

Use the 2part 5minute epoxy from lowes, works like a charm, then I use goop for the dustcap. RE-coning is really easy, try it!

not hard to do but dont skimp on da glue there was a sticky or thread step by step in here somewhere cheaper to get a recone and it will be like new Hell RE even included ca glue with my recone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you use the ca glue w/accelerator & it is shimmed properly it is just as good as new.
