is my amp fried!!!

I just recieved a brutus 1500 from the forum and i connected all the wires and during turn on it makes some grinding noise and there is a constant red light.... ground is 10 inches....??

test all wires if everything checks out install wise then the answer is yes

when i turn on the car the amp makes a long whine grind noise and the red light never has turned green,, ima assume that the ground is bad... and giving just enough for it to turn on,....

try a ne ground make sure your wires are not touching anywhere at the terminals

(stray wires) and check your fuse i had an amp in protect constantly and it turned out i had a partially blown fuse.

its in protect. either somthing is shorted in side the amp. or the sub voice coil is shorting it. etc.

but with the speakers wires and rca's disconected it still is in protect?

theres definantly something wrong with the amp... as soon as it sees power it starts screetching and clicking... doesnt give a chance for music,but some weird noises come from the subs sort of popping / radio fuzz sound...... shuts off before cd loads. tomorow im going to re tripleizeddopalize check and if it doesnt work then ill have to start *****in...

That noise you hear is probably something arcing to the case. You may as well open it and look for burn marks, or pack it up and return to sender.
