Is my 30hz ported box robbing me?

My box is tuned to 30hz...i listen to all Alternative/Rock/Metal, no rap ever plays through my system...so am i robbing myself of output because of the low tuning of my box?

BTW..this is my first real install, did it with leftover scholarship money, therefore no real cash for me to upgrade anything just yet.

i think 40 hz would work better for you.

36hz, 29 inches port area 2ft for 600 watts 2.25 with 31 inches pa if you have less power

most def ur robbing ur self even a sealed box sounds great with metal and other type of rock. buddy had a 2 12s sealed and sounded great with rock, rap and bass heavy not so much.
