I plan to step up to 4 12.44K this summer.

I am stuck in the debate of if the port is worth the extra work.

I have 2 12s ported to 30hz now and I want it louder, but it doesn't have to be that much louder.

I like deep bass and listen to a combanation of rap and rock. so it has to sound good both ways punchy and can rumble.

is the port woth the extra work.

Well, if you want them to be louder then you will have to port. I believe 2 ported vs. 4 sealed will come out pretty close in SPL since you are using the same subs. If you have the space...port them
