going to pick up my amp on saturday down in Portland(thank god)

i'm wondering if i can run 2400watts on this electrical:

Optima RT

Batcap 2000

stock alt(90 or 110?)

also should i do BIG 3? (most likely)

could i get away with it or just wait til i order alt?

i've seen people run way more power but i just want to be safe

and not have to send the amp back in again!

You could run 10,000 watts on your stock electrical system, if you never turn it all the way up, or rarely bump for long periods of time, or drive alot with the stereo off to allow a recharge, or if you are willing to put a batt charger on it at night, etc etc etc.

In other words, we'd just be guessing. Hooking a 2400 watt amplifier to your charging system does not necessarily mean you will be drawing 2400 watts from your charging system, or even trying to do so. 02accords reply meant to upgrade what you can now, and with your listening habits, see what happens. The only thing I would add would be, carry jumper cables with you... and monitor your system voltage between listening sessions to see what is happening so a dead battery doesn't come as a surprise at the worst time possible.

thank audio, like the reply

its actually a 4000watt amp, but running it at 2ohms bridged

i would only listen to it maybe like 30min>

yeah i guess i need to buy a volt meter since i dont have one
