Is it worth getting a DSP? I got a 80prs and can run active has good crossover points/slopes, EQ & T/A. Is it worth getting a DSP like a 3sixty3 or a Audiocontrol 608?

Not really unless you need more channels. DSPs are not always the answer. The 80prs is a great source and that's more important imo. Use that money to sound proof the shit out of your car.

After you learn how to use the 80prs and find yourself wanting more then step it up. But until Audiocontrol fixes there crap EQ I wouldn't add them to the list. And the 360.3 isn't much better.

are you doing a 3 way front stage? are you competing in SQ?

If your goal is just to have a nice sounding daily setup, there's nothing the 80 prs cant achieve in that aspect.

If your goal is to score high and possibly win an SQ comp along with putting hundreds of hours into properly tuning and install then yes get a dsp.

Im gonna sound deaden my doors for now. Is there really a big difference of sound deadening the whole car? I got a single cab truck and usually it sounds good & loud on trucks.

Yes I know how to use it Ive had it for over a year and ran it on active.Took me a while to get it but Its the best head unit ive had. What about a Helix dsp?

Probably am once I buy more wire to hook up a third amp & Nope Just my daily & want it to sound good & so far in my other car It worked perfectly made it aound the way I wanted to just that 6db+_ wasnt enought

Sound deadening is typically used for stop of rattles and other annoying noises from subs rattling unwanted vibrating parts inside the vehicle. Omg hope that makes sense!! Stuff keeps things quieter.

But it also increases speaker performance....midbass for example in doors locations.

I would say no to the DSP for now. There's always the opportunity down the road if you feel the need/want/must have one or change your mind and want to compete. I would focus on your equipment now, get everything sound deadened, speakers tuned, etc. Get everything sounding good.

i really don't think you need a DSP. i think you have plenty of processing with the unit you have. you have a better EQ than i have and im able to get my system to sound good enough to say it sound really realistic. at this point you need to understanding abit about loud speakers, distortion and forms of distortion, crossover networks and how to install the specific gear you have to give you the best frequency response possible.

its impossible for anyone to say this will work for you. sure they have guild-lines but they have way to many variables.

if you have a decent smart phone find a RTA app and download some tones a tuning CDs and start experimenting.

Sheffield Labs autosound 2000 is a great CD to help you tune.

i can't seem to find he flac version i do have it though and ill be glad to give it to you.

you can easily achieve a good daily with a pair of quality drivers with over 200 watts per mid and 125 watts per tweet no need for any DSP with your goals. Even if you were to do a 3 way, you can just use an active capable amp for them midbass and midrange.

I REALLY love how quiet my ride got when I sound deadened the heck out of her!! 2006 Grand Caravan now sounds like a luxury-mobile!
