Is it really WORTH THE $$$$$?!

alrite, so very shortly i am goign to pick up a pair of Rainbows...but i am in a pickle trying to decide which ones i want..of corse there are teh SLC's...but everyone has those...so here is my question...IS IT REALLY WORTH THE MONEY to upgrade from the SLCs to teh germs or even teh Powerlines? what are the differences, and how big of a difference is there really in teh SQL?

The power line series is in the $1000 range? Little bit of a price jump for those

I say go for the Germs....

-Nick-
Those are the competition line, high end line of the Powerline with the 6.9" super mid , and silk tweet- i used to run the tweets, they were insane- by far the best silk tweets to get insanely loud with. It defies all weaknesses held against soft domes as far as detail and intelligibility at high SPL levels.

The Powerline CMX's however are in the Germanium line price range. It uses the old Pro Vanadium Cal25 titanium tweeter, mated to an aluminum coned mid.

This set can scream, the tweet is very detailed and the mids play loud along really well- fast drums, and tight kickbass.

Basically between the two its a silk vs metal debate- with the Germs offering a little more as far as flexibility in the xover..

Germs !!

Manny pretty much summed it up in post 8.

As for the SLCs, yes everyone has em, but thats a good thing, no? Alot of people runnin em and no complaints says alot about a product. No need to worry about ego issues, if everyone else had Platinums I would still run em. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
