Is It Possible?

When I got my sub and amp installed two months ago, my radio reception basically just ended. I assumed that since I had CC do the install, they had just ****ed with a connection or something and that was that. However, I recently came across a thread where someone was blaming the power supply of their amp for putting out so much noise that they're radio reception was ruined. Is it possible that my Hifonics BX1000D is doing this?

There is a known issue with Tripath amp chips and FM reception.

x2 on disconnecting the amp... just remove the remote in wire on the amp and see what happens.

Take it back to CC and tell them what has happened also.

same thing when headunit was installed by cc in my moms xterra so we pulled it out put factory back in still had same prob, turns out it was distributor cap causing the problem, dont know why it just started doing it when they installed her headunit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
