Wire the amp up without the subwoofers? I wont have my box few more days...so i was thinking to get a head start on the amp wiring.

Steps to wiring amp:

1 - Unhook the negative battery terminal

2 - Ground the Amp

3- Power wire from + battery terminal to inline fuse and from Inline fuse to towards the trunk (thats where the amp will be)...there is another fuse that came with the amp..and that is suppose to be close to the amp. so there will be two fuses in the power line..?

4 - RCA and Rem turn on

5 - Connect the Battery negative back onto the terminal ?

Am i missing anything?

you can hook the amp up and not have the subs connected.

you do not need two inline fuses in your power line.

some people would recommend you fuse your remote wire but i dont do it: just try not to short it.

other than that, it looks like you got it down.

Thanks...one more question about the 2 fuses in power line..

my kicker zx1500.1 came with a 150amp fuse...and its recommeneded that i put that closer to the amp.

My wiring kit came with a 80amp fuse ..which they recommend i put closer to the battery...

thats kindda confusing me...should i connect both to be on the safe side?

you can always put a bigger size fuse by the battery. the fuses protect the power wire, not the amp. so you can go bigger than 150 if you can. more than likely you will pop that 80 amp fuse at some point.
