Is it just me?

I'm still very new to this forum and I'm curious as to what you should say? What is the proper terminology for a good sounding set up? Back when I started in 99 with my first set of Punch XLC 12s it was ok to say "it pounds". I'm not poking fun at anyone, just have been out of the loop for a while and wondering.
Its okay to say it however you want here.

What happened to people actually speaking English? How hard is it to say my system is loud.
loud is relative //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
slams, hits, pounds etc. are absolute.
If someone tells me their system is loud, Im thinking its like... pretty quiet. If it slams, then I know its loud. If it pounds, I know its serious business. And if it knocks, Ive probably actually heard it before, and just thought it was thunder off in the distance.

Hope that helps you understand, Mike.
