What are you powering with the 2500d and at what impedance? You must have your gains set pretty low.

you deff not getting what the amps supposed to do, that thing eats power from what ive heard

i got my setup 1ga. to the distro., x2 4ga. and chasis groud to a distro with x2 4ga. into the amps. i have a really bad alt. and tiny batter and can turn the volume all the way up w/o any distortion (to the ***** ear) and i have no dimming

rl-p dual 4 shows the amp 2 ohms = 1500 wrms?

I tested the RL-P 12 (i assume thats what you have)... and it did *not* handle the 2500d @ 2 ohm full tilt.

As was said, you probably aren't getting any real power out of it.
