You'll be fine if it's the brutus line. Their Hfi line is sketchy, and I wouldn't run the bxi line either. But you should be safe if you roll with the brutus

The BXi 's are Brutus, just the last line. The BRZ's are the new Brutus line....

how much power are you looking for? AQ is overall better but if you're on a budget just stick to the quart.

Those 2200's pop up on the classifieds like once a week, you could most likely find one on here. Alternatively you could check CSCO (CarStereoClassifieds.org)

I wouldnt say the AQ is better . The AQ 1200d is the same amp as the hifonics bxi 16xxD's. It is a little under rated where the hifonics is a bit over rated but part for part they are the same amps. I think the AQ2200d is a clone of one of the hifonics as well. The 3500 is a different story though.

I had the bxi 2006 and refurb too at 1 ohm it did good but not rated or really close either owned the AQ 2200 and it does rated and then some.
