amps are sweet and subs get loud but have seen hdc's have problems

Check the dbdrag website for shows in your area as you should be able to hear some HDC's in person. There's a big show in Elgin, IL on June 5th and there will be plenty of AQ/DD sets up there since most of Team DOA is going.
I'm near Six Flags so if you ever get down that way let me know and you can hear my AQ set up and see what you think. That way your ears can decide if it's the sound you want and they're loud enough.

Very solid subs for the $$$ and will take a lot of abuse...

the ones ive heard dont/didnt sound good... tho the installs were geared more towards spl not sql..

They have a tight/punchy sound, either you like it or you don't. I listen to mostly 80's rock and old school hip hop so I like the sound. they are not boomy/bottom heavy subs...

99% of the issues I've seen with them are operator error. Clipped signal will kill any sub eventually. Breaking in the copper coils is recommended so the spider pack can take a set.

There's a show on Sunday in Waukegan at Sundance Saloon. I'll be there along with DDbump who runs 4 18" HDC's in a wall. Come down for a few hours to hear some HDC's and hang out....
