Is an 01 Crown Vic a PITA to install in?

A guy just offered me 60 bucks to install a sub amp in his crown vic, already has the 4g kit and all. Never done one of the newer models, how frustrating and time consuming is it?

Its simple, car is easy to work on. Ive worked on several and personally own a 2004.

Good deal. I figured it was easy since it was a ford, theyre typically not put together well, lots of holes to run wire though and such. Any tips about how the dash comes apart or etc? Im gonna try to pull the radio out with din keys to run the RCAs and remote wire but you guys know that dont work sometimes depending on the previous installer, lol. Ill do the install tommorow in the AM and let you guys know how it goes

Huge fail. Called the dude and he said he started installing it himself, but cut the RCAS too short. Wanted me to come over and help him finish it, i declined because hes black and most likely wont pay me. I told him i was busy and he could bring me the car in the morning and pay me to finish it. Well see how that goes:laugh:

Cut the RCAs!? I think the deck is just held in place with phillips head screws.

Being black, I could overlook that smartass remark and walk you throught that car, its pretty d@mn easy.
