So, ive got the standard setup in a sigle cab truck, A head unit the has 4 speaker outputs, and only 2 speakers. What i want to know is if i could bridge the HU from 4 outputs to 2. Or, could i run both the left outputs to the left speakers, and both the right outputs to the right??? I need some help.

you cannot bridge a headunit unless you want to blow up the amps

a car headunit usually has a 4 ohm inpedence which is the same as most car speakers if you bridge the speakers together you will be pulling a 2 ohm load out of a 4 ohm headunit that is not made to run 2 ohms therefore it will heat up quickly and may blow up

If you do a search about headunit bridging you should learn that you cannot bridge a h/u. It takes two signals, each that are 180 degrees out of phase playing the same signal to bridge. A h/u does not do this.

It's been reported that _some_ head units allow bridging the front and rear channels together, but I don'y know what models (if any) actually do. It'd definitely be in the owner's manual if your deck allows that.

a few pioneer head units allow bridging of the rear two channels, some models that come to mind are dehp3500 dehp5500mp and 7500mp and i forget if the 6500 allows it it is supposably avaliable to run a sub with although that sure sounds impratical to mean and you would sure be working your HU hard and for what? a whimpy sub lol so yes it is possible on some Hu's but is it pratical? no definately not
