i love my mean green.

you got a ranger, so im sure they got an alt for you. rated @ 200A (have seen benched at 218A). im assuming mean green publishes the hot rating of the alternator.

got mine for $392 shipped to my door. one of the best investments ive made. really though, my best advice is to get the biggest alternator you can get for your car from a reputable company.

go to a local shop, they might do a better job. Or perhaps EA, HO, Mean Green, Iraggi, do some research

by reputable i mean : H-O, mean-green, and although it seems to be mostly a customer service issue and not a product issue...iraggi.

stay away from Motor City Reman. friend has one on his explorer and the cut on rpm is so high you need like a 1" pulley to get it spinning fast enough at idle.
