this is not going to be accurate but:

assuming the amps are 100% efficient (and i know they aren't) the current draw will be a little over 275 Amps

im assuming you have around a 125~ A alt in your truck already...

you may want to consider a dual alt setup

i guess i should ask this,what size alty should i look for, im more than likely going to be picking up a 2400 as my back up battery..

i say get the biggest one possible for your truck. this way you dont have to wonder if you should have got the bigger one.

off of a stock alternator?
i plan on getting a couple batteries for support, but would it be worth it without an upgraded alterntor?

4000 watts or 4000 rms? if your have a decent alternator now like a 130amp then 4000 watts peak with a 2 big kinetik batteries would work but if 4000 rms then hell no. i run a ohio gen 130 amp alternator on a zapco 9.0 and a dc reference 360.4 with a kinetik 2400 i have no dimming really or at least i can barely tell now the gauge cluster dims noticable but the head lights dont see to dim at all like they used to. so buy a alternator it solved my problems.

since we are talking on this subject i am planning on getting a toyota tundra 2007 double cab and i am going to guess that my hi output alt will be btw 130-160amp so i am wandering if i am planning on putting 2 zapco 9.0s and one 4.0 so about a total of 5000rms and zapcos usally under rated as well so how many kinetik 2400 should i have if i can get a 2400 under the hood i will if not i will go the biggest but how many should i have on spare about 2 in the back?

5000rms off a 160A alt?

sorry man..i dont think your truck will be able to last long with that and a few batteries

best idea for an alt is to buy a stock one then have it rewired, i bought a stock for my grandprix for $45 and had it rewired to 200 amps for $210 and i am running a mojo 2500 with a kinetik 1800 and it is perfect (almost)
