oK I have a boston GT24 powering a G5. amp keeps shutting off or stayin in protect whenever i turn it up at all. sub is a 4ohm single. amp is a 2 GT-24 2 channels 1x750w (2-ohms) or 2x120w (4-ohms). i'm running it bridged cuz that sub should handle it no problem. any ideas?

also if my battery is on its last leg could it be due to low amperage?

Battery(voltage) or conections issue most likely.

so the fact that the amp, when bridged, is runnin at 2ohm and the sub is a 4ohm has nothing to do with it? stupid question i know but...

Single 4ohm sub = 4ohm load.. doesn't matter if you bridge or not... Ya sounds like voltage too low or wires touching somewhere.. Check connections.. You running it with car on? If so shouldn't be voltage problem..
