Opinion got that right. because that link in last post shows that zune HD's do, do it.

ok, well I had an original zune and that's all that I'm used to I didn't know. but still I'm glad I made the switch.

How many after market head units are certified for Zune use? I know when I was looking in 2007, not a single HU out there supported the Zune. More recently, Ford's Sync supported the Zune, but that isn't after market.

tl;dr

You don't have to use itunes with an ipod. Zune's are cool and all, but considered a bit of fail, I would of bought on if they weren't sold out when I bought an mp3 player. The ipod by far has superior aftermarket support. Their also easy as hell to sell once you get done, everyone want's an ipod. Mine mainly live in my car so I don't have to carry around a few giant cd cases. Buy an older one that you can put rockbox on so you can play any format, changing the hdd in it is easy.

I've had both (iPod Mini, video, and 1G Nano) and I love my Zune 120 more than any iPod. For me, the menu system is easier and more intuitive. The software is so much better. iTunes tends to hog your system memory while the Zune software is lightweight and does the job. iTunes might be the easiest buying experience, but I don't believe in Apple's closed system. Their whole business model is to create a device that forces people to buy media through Apple. That's why the iPad is so genious. They've created a device that people can consume many types of media on...and, for the most part, you have to buy it all through their store - $$$. Anyway, I digress. As I stated previously, I do still use iTunes because it auto-manages my library file system and people sometimes give me iTunes gift cards as presents. The Zune software is getting better with each version. I'm hoping I'll only have iTunes to use the gift cards soon.
