if i actually own the cd, i just use the disc

you wont get it to sound that good off the ipod

Well, if I rip my cds to a lossless quality, put them on the ipod, and use a full speed cable to my headunit, will the quality not be the same? The headunit should be doing the processing so long as its using the full speed cable, correct?

D you need anything to burn/play files in flac?

I'm on a mac if that makes a difference.
