ipod or iriver or other??

What a coincidence, I have one of each for sale...
BTW the Pioneer iPod adapter only controls from the deck with decks made after 2005, with a P in the model number. iRivers can only be connected through an auxillary input.
well, i got a pioneer DEH-P600, premier model a few years back. for sure before 2004. it has a "P" in the model number, but would it still work?

also, what model is you "iriver" ??

anyone know if i will have ON-SCREEN control on an OLDER pioneer model, around 2002 with an "ipod" ??? please dont reply about sony and ipod. i just wanna know this. i assume i will have to use the "Aux" adapter from pioneer (35$) , but i dont want to get that other special 100$ adapter that pioneer makes for ipods. too expensive! and too much hassle, so i may stick with getting an iriver

H320, comes with a 3year BB warranty...

I think if it was pre2005 it will connect via the IPBus but it can't be controlled through the headunit... You should contact Pioneer to find out for sure...

i went out and bought a creative zen micro, its a awsome mp3 player, i read up on the reviews, on some different ones and plus the zen micro can use napsters 2 go program where you can load up any amount of songs you want on the mp3 player for 15$ a month, instead of 99 censt a song just pay 15$ and put ever how many you want on there http://www.napster.com/ntg.html

here are th cnet reviews for different categories of mp3 players

micro hard drive(ipod mini, zen micro, etc) http://reviews.cnet.com/4521-6532_7-5021434-4.html?tag=dir.tmmp

Hard drive players reg(ipod, zen touch,etc) http://reviews.cnet.com/Music/4521-6532_7-5021434-3.html?tag=dir.thdmp

get what ever size you want but i cant think of enough songs to fill my 5gb worth so i dont see the need for 20gb+ IMO, but for others it might be neccessary o_O

but i love my zen micro, the cool blue glow is mesmerising //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif and i think the controls are easy to use once figured out, and you can get a good bit different colors with the zen micro, i chose black but there are 10 others i think, it also has a radio if you need it, and also it can record off the radio

edit: and notice the zen got the same score as the ipod, dosent mean its better or worse just their opinion, but i love mine and would reccommend it to anyone
