ipod nano 4G with ida-X001

Hi all,

I am considering buying an ipod for the first time and am looking at the nano 4G 16gb model.

Is anyone with an Alpine ida-X001 using one? How do you like it?

I've read that this nano uses Apple "lossless" file format. Will this format play on the x001?

According to the Alpine site the nano 4g will play on the x001 in full speed using the proper cable.

That is my understanding as well, that you can play lossless with the USB cable I think it was. However, if the model you want is compatible or not, will be disclosed in the manual.

I have an older nano 4g iPod and still not sure if mine is playing in lossless audio or not. Seems to be a little off compared to my CD's.

Can't comment on deck, never messed with it, but looks nice if all you care about is iPod control.
