Ipod mp3 skipping during songs in car....

I have an old Ipod Nano 7th generation that I use to play music through my recently installed Kenwood deck, and when the Jeep is turned on, but not started, everything plays smoothly, then when I start the car, the songs that have drum tracks in them begin to skip repeatedly throughout the songs....

I know it is not the Ipod, nor the stereo doing it, because when I am sitting in the Jeep with the ignition turned on, without actually starting the vehicle it works fine. Unfortunately, as soon as I try to listen to music while I am driving, it becomes scratchy, almost like a CD when you hit a bump or something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

I did not think that skipping could be a problem with mp3 music, and not using a CD, but it seems I was wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Do I need to go back to the audio store where I got the deck put in, or is there something else that I am missing here??

Can anyone explain what could be causing this please, and thanks in advance!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Did this just start happening after you got a new HU? Or did it do it before on your older HU? Are you running anything else aftermarket audiowise besides the new deck? It almost sounds like a power issue...

Does it do it through AUX, USB, Bluetooth, or all three connections? If it’s just through AUX or USB than try a different cable. If it’s all three than it could be something to do with a connection that is sensitive to vibration like Boomin Tahoe said.

I am attempting to double check all of the connection options now, and will post back after I have done so....

I am having some difficulties getting the Bluetooth to work honestly, but once I have gotten it, I will post a renewed thread reply!!

I would turn it to either flat, or better yet off if you have that option and use the head unit to control the eq.

This could be due to a voltage drop. There's no constant voltage going into the head units. It's always changing. At which point this could be...
