hey guys i just got this new pc and i been trying to figure out how to get my tracks from my ipod to itunes?? anyone know it seems like u cant do it or very tricky way lol... thx

you have to download a program kuz they way i tunes is set up and your ipod it wont let you take songs that are on it and transfer them into itunes, i guess they see it as another way for people to pirate music. there is a program out for it i just forget what it is called.

Hmmm, that is odd. how updated is your iTunes/What modle and generation iPod?

The other problem could be the fact it is made by apple.

If you go to apples ipod website and look it up in support it will tell you. I haven't done it in awhile but first you have to be able to view hidden files by:

Opening up any folder

Select Tools, Folder Options

Click "view" tab

Select "show hidden files and folders"

This will allow you to see the iPod files. Then plug in your ipod and select the iPod drive, mine is E:

You should now have a iPod control folder available, open it and then select the Music folder. All of your music is available via a series of folders. You will have to open each folder and select the music to move to your computer. It will also mess with some of the names of the tracks.

Note: save the files to your new computer before you move it to iTunes or it will try to pull the data from your iPod.
