ipod frozen!

idk if this belongs in this section but o well. hooked my new ipod nano 2gb into my alpine kca-420i and when i was done drivin i unhooked it to bring it inside and its frozen with /////alpine on the screen for the last 2days. this happened to my old 1stgen nano before and i just let it sit for a day and eventually the battery ran out and i could use it again. looks like that approach isnt working this time. can anyone help me out?

Did you try to reset it? I think it was something like the middle button and menu needs to be held for a few seconds, I do that everytime it freezes.

Mine does that to let it sit, it will eventualy die

try holding down the menu and select buttons for like 10secs. That should reset it.

Menu + Select at the same time for 10 secs

and then when the apple icon appears, just turn it off then back on

Mine froze up once for a while, had to wait until the battery died. Oh well, done me good for a long time.
