ipod for headunit

k i just got an ipod nano...i was going to connect it to my pioneer hu using an aux input adapter and rca wires...i usually listen to mp3 cds...will connecting an ipod to my hu be the same sq as the mp3 cd? i dont want it to sound bad..as long as its as good as an mp3 cd

Yea it will sound great, I had my ipod connected to my alpine thrugh an aux input and the 3.5 headphone jack, but because it was connected through the headphone jack I could control the volume through the ipod which sometimes would cause distortion. But here is the solution to that RCA to Dock Connector

This will provide pure digital sound.

No, it won't. It's still converting back to an analog signal. It's not digital.

It will sound the same as an MP3 cd. after all.. those are the same files you would burn to that cd right? why would they sound any different.

...i just thought that connecting an ipod through aux input would affect the quality since its going through different wires...

as long as it sounds like my mp3 cds ill be happy
