iPod and iRiver question...

Has anybody compared sound quality between the iPod and the iRiver? I'm about to buy a brand new iRiver because I'm tired of hearing about and experiencing problems with iPods.

My buddy has an iPod video that I hooked up through an AiNet adapter on my deck. After listening to a few songs on it, we both decided that the iPod hooked up through the deck sounded better than burning mp3 discs (which makes sense if you think about it).

I bought an iPod from LeoFromTheH on here a while back, but it came DOA. I'm currently still waiting for the refund on it, but that's a different story...

i have had an iriver for over a year now no problems what so ever. Its just a ***** to deal with all the mp3 tags, but I like the interface and no itunes(****in hate that software)

Well, quality wise. I would have to go with Iriver. Not just because I have one though. At louder volumes its definitely better. Ive only used it in my car a few times, it sounded ok, took a lot of adjusting, but I guess thats normal.

I bought an IRIVER and a buddie of mine did. After like a month my buddies stopped working said a software error or something. He ended up returning it then getting a new one. Like a month later same thing happend. I ended up selling mine and buying an ipod. The guy I sold mine to ended up having the same problem. The px where I was didnt sell IPODs so everyone was getting the iriver. Like 4 outta the 5 people I knew that bought one all had thiers **** up. I love my ipod. Its been scratched,dropped, thrown,banged In the sand, left out in the115 degree heat and its still running strong

Thanks for the replies, I just f*ck it and bought a Cowon iAudio X5L. They've gotten better reviews on some other forums I visited. There was also a thread a while ago on here that some people recommended it, for the price I got it for, you can't beat it.
