IPhone to HU?

I know I know, flame away but this isn't for me.

I told him that I have never heard of such a thing as using the Iphone as an Ipod.

Can anyone confirm this?

I doubt jensen has this, but the only options he really has is some sort of USB cable. IIRC, the iPhones don't have the traditional connection that iPods have. So, in short he's probably screwed.

iphones have teh same jack/dock connector as the regular picture and video ipods its just some ipod adapter doesnt recongize the IPhone period and some have to have the iphone in airplane mode for it to play but wont charge the iphone for some reason

I have the pioneer dd DVD and I do have to put my phone in airplane mode

the cable i use for my jensen 9311ts is called a j-link cable
