That jailbreaking shit is too confusing... I just want to install themes like Intrepid does, everytime I search it's always firmware this cydia that summer board.. wtf is that shit? Where are the step by step instructions?
And you can do it on winpwn, you don't need a mac... I just don't know what firmware and all that shit I need.

No you don't you can download the ipsw then in the itunes version you have hold shift and select restore. It will give you the option to choose the file to use to restore. The only downside is that it will erase everything on your device going this route.

You may be able to download and install via itunes as well I'm not sure because I upgraded to iTunes 8 for the new features.

Side Note: You may not be able to sync 2.1 with itunes 7.x you may need iTunes 8 with firmware 2.1.
