iPhone 3G/iPhone 2.0 Update

i've got the update downloaded but my phone is jailbroken and unlocked and i'm pretty sure it'll brick and even if it doesn't i have no way of unlocking it once i update

i'd be careful with the latest update. give it a few days so they can work the bugs out.

to download?

once it got half way through and said it couldn't find the server, then i started it again and it took maybe 5 minutes

a tad thinner, a plastic backing, supposed to be a little faster because of 3G

I don't see a reason why to buy just for the 3G. Most people who have phone beside the iphone don't even use the 3G joint. The edge is cool with me, because almost every where I go has free wifi. If apple gives us a rebate then I would think about it.

never had the original...came from a blackberry pearl to this..

page load times depend on the site.

GOOGLE comes up in approx. 2-4 seconds

I'd rather have the 3g version cause it has wifi....thats a big reason why i didn't buy the first one. I don't have an internet plan plus there is plenty of place that has wifi now that you can connect to with ease. Especially when on campus.

I thought the old one did have Wifi?? Maybe it was just the iPod touch.

Also, the 3G has GPS now too. A big improvement in my eyes, and I am now kicking myself for renewing my contract too early (I didn't know the new one was in the pipelines yet).

o it did? **** i look like a fool now...thats what happen when you don't do your homework. But if the old ones do have wifi then i'd rather buy them...be a hella lot cheaper in a month or two
