Inverters

I don't need one of these
I have a few questions about inverters. I bought a 700w (520rms) inverter for my cross country move. I'm wondering if it always draws power or just the amount equal to what it is being used for. Also can your standard bosch relay handle the 40 or so amps it'll pull at full load?

it draws a little power when not in use. it doesn't draw full power all the time. your amps draw more current than an inverter. a 700 watt inverter can only support a few amps worth of equipment. i use a 1000 watt inverter at work for tools and it can only support a tool that pulls 5 amps or so. i may get away with running my grinder for short periods on it. it's 7 amps. they have a signal on most that tells you you're pulling too much.

Cool, then the bosch relay ought to work, and 8ga wiring I used is a bit of overkill... ohh well.
